Can addictions cloud our inner observer?

We are creatures of accumulation—of habits, objects, labels, ideas. But every addiction reshapes the lens through which we see ourselves. Addiction isn’t only chemical; it’s the constant pull toward distraction, validation, identification, routine. If we never pause, never strip away, how can we see what lies beneath?

Detachment is clarity—only in stepping back do we recognize the strings that control us.

What remains when we subtract the excess? Is the observer still there, or was it only the noise of thought?

(Drop your thoughts below—when was the last time you truly disconnected?)
